Disengagement (Breakaway) Training

SecuriCare provide training to help reduce any further escalation where there may be a risk of physical threat by responding positively to low level physically hazardous behaviours. Parents and carers are taught low arousal techniques that allow them to release themselves from grabs and holds and so reduce anxiety and distress and the risk of harm.

All disengagement skills are fully risk assessed and a video library of your chosen skill set is made available all year round. This invaluable resource supports care planning and provides clarity for parents/carers as an aide memoire, for post incident review and for external audit.
