Staff responsible for combatting the threat of vehicle borne exlosive devices, and completing vehicle searches; cars, vans and lorrries.

The aim of this programme is:

To develop staff knowledge and confidence in the effective searching of vehicles.

The topics covered include:

  • Understanding the threat
  • Types of device
  • Vehicle searching techniques
  • Action on discovery of a device

Method of delivery and assessment:

Formal presentation, group work, practical exercises and discussion.

Learner’s knowledge is evidenced by verbal or written questioning.
