Staff responsible for managing the threat of terrorist attack, and completing building searches and evacuations.
The aim of this programme is:
To develop and implement policies and procedures for the safe search and evacuation of a building/premises. To implement staff knowledge and training to effect the above.
The topics covered include:
- Threat assessment
- Types of explosive device
- Security planning and protective measures
- Dealing with the phone threat
- Evacuations techniques
- Search techniques
- Recovery issues
- Testing and evaluating measures
Method of delivery and assessment:
Formal presentation, group work, practical exercises and discussion.
Learner’s knowledge is evidenced by verbal or written questioning.
Duration of training:
1 day to 3 days depending on a clients unique requirements
