This programme has been developed for:

The course material is suitable for staff in any sector; commercial, public service, retail, leisure, licensed trade, transport, airlines and security.  We also have also recently developed programmes for school children, and school leavers.

The aim of this programme is:

To help participants reduce the likelihood of being ‘attacked’ and enable them to respond effectively to ‘incident’s that do arise.

The topics covered include:

  • Understanding risk
  • Reducing vulnerability
  • Minimising the likelihood of conflict and confrontation
  • Understanding and managing the ‘fight or flight’ response
  • Escaping from the ‘danger zone’
  • Using release and escape techniques
  • Reporting incidents to the police

Method of delivery and assessment:

Formal presentation, group work, practical exercises and discussion.

Learner’s knowledge is evidenced by verbal or written questioning.

Duration of training:

Up to 1 day depending on a clients unique requirements.
