This programme has been developed for:
Staff who are exposed to potentially stressful events or situations; this includes public services, retail, leisure, licensed trade, public transport, health and social care as well as security.
Stress may affect your organisation in the following ways: Low productivity, Sickness, Absence, High staff turnover, workplace conflict.
SecuriCare adopts the HSE methodology of good management practice and can provide risk assessments in line with the HSE pilot standards that aim to reduce workplace stress by 2010.
The aim of this programme is:
To help staff increase their ability to avoid or cope with stress, and to achieve a good work-life balance. This builds confidence in their ability to ‘perform’ when faced with pressure, promoting individual and organisational growth.
The topics covered include:
- Identifying the causations to stress
- Recognising early warning signs
- The nervous system and the stress response
- The relaxation response
- The human performance curve
- Healthy Lifestyles
- Individual Action Planning
- Team building
Method of delivery and assessment:
Formal presentation, group work, practical exercises and discussion.
Delegate knowledge is checked using Q&A or written tests.
Duration of training:
1 day to 3 days depending on a clients uniquement requirements.
