BTec Level 2 Door Supervision

This programme has been developed for:

Staff who operate as ‘Door supervisors’.

The Private Security Act 2001 makes it a legal requirement for those working in the private security sector to undertake a mandatory training programme before applying for their Security Industry Authority (SIA) license.

(Failure to do so can expose employees and employers alike to fines of up to £5000.00 and even a 6 month prison sentence).

The aim of this programme is:

  • Introduction to Communication Skills and Conflict Management

  • Effective Communication and Customer Service Skills
  • Recognising and Defusing Conflict
  • Maintaining Space
  • Defusing High Risk Conflict
  • Resolving Conflict
  • Learning from Conflict

Method of delivery and assessment:

Formal presentation, group work, practical exercises and discussion.

Delegate knowledge is checked using a written exam.

Duration of training:

Up to 4 days depending on the course configuration
