Positive Behaviour Support Training (PBS)

Securicare specialise in providing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training and offer a range of courses in this category.

Securicare have been providing training and support in this area for over two decades. We place great emphasis on using practitioners with extensive frontline experience. We have built our reputation by successfully supporting scores of social care providers and hundreds of their staff across the country.

The aim of our training programmes is to ensure staff can support each individual in a meaningful way, and respond in a kind, caring and sensitive way when behaviours of concern do develop. Our overarching aim is always to promotes positive behaviours and in so doing reduce or ideally eliminate the need for any restrictive interventions. Where physical interventions need to be made we use the latest research to ensure we only consider safe physical interventions.

The following Positive Behaviour Support Training (PBS) courses look at different behaviours and their various functions, we look at how to promote positive behaviours by using a person centred approach. The training also asks the learner to consider the practicalities of positively influencing a person’s behaviour, which includes look at our own attitude, the emotions we experience and our ability to communicate. The course material is developed around service provision to ensure it includes local policy, staff guidelines, and reporting procedures.
