It can also be known in some situations known as disengagement and physical intervention training.
Dealing with people with behavioural difficulties can be challenging. We will give your staff the knowledge and skills to prevent and manage these challenges should reduce the frequency and intensity of the behaviour. It is highly recommended that the course is delivered following training in preventing challenging behaviour and promoting positive behaviour training. This is because physical intervention should always only be used in the context of a last resort. This course involves simple, safe breakway techniques that allow staff to step back from physical danger and re-engage to de-escalate. The course is classroom based.

Learn MoreThis Physical Intervention course is classroom based. It is highly recommended that 'Preventing and Managing Challenging Behaviour' training is completed before commissioning training in disengagement, breakaway or physical intervention techniques.
This will ensure that all other possible options to prevent and manage the behaviour have been exhausted prior to utilising any physical response or restrictive practice. Training techniques are selected based upon service need and the techniques themselves are fully risk assessed. All training is delivered by fully qualified trainers with many years experience working in health and social care settings.

This classroom based workshop covers personal safety advice and skills for staff to consider prior to attending the premises, whilst inside the venue and on leaving the premises. Conflict Management Training - Classroom
Conflict Management (resolution) training can provide your staff with all the knowledge and skills they need to handle those everyday situations which can easily escalate out of control. We offer a day long classroom training session which ensures your staff are able to respond positively to situations ranging from customer complaints to customer frustration in response to perceived service failings .
