Managing Director

Phil served with distinction in HM Prison Service before moving across into Psychiatric care in 1992.  Seeing an opportunity to use his considerable expertise and training in managing challenging, disruptive or violent behaviour to positive effect, he founded SecuriCare International in 1995.

A passionate advocate of the need to develop professional standards in the management of work related violence he is a founder Member of the Institute of Conflict Management (ICM).  He served as Chairman of the ICM from 2001-2008.  In January 2008 he became one of the first trainers in the UK to receive the ICM Physical Skills Tutor Award (ICM-PSTA).

Phil was a Special Materials Expert for the Institute of Work, Health & Organisations (I-WHO) and a Member of the Guidance Development Group for the short term management of disturbed/violent behaviour for the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE).
